Another popular home remedy for acid reflux is eating apples. There is pectin in apples and this is said to be a wonderful home remedy for acid reflux. All you need to do is eat a few slices of apple after meals and you should not feel much pain from your acid reflux.

A home remedy for acid reflux you can start practicing right away is having six or seven smaller meals throughout the day instead of two or three large ones. Often you will suffer with acid reflux symptoms when you have overstuffed yourself and your stomach acid production goes into overdrive. Having smaller more frequent meals can help your stomach balance the proper amounts of acid, without having you suffer with acid reflux.

You can also try elevating your bed between six and twelve inches. Many times lying on your back will have the acid coming back up into your throat and make sleeping difficult. If you raise your mattress and have your head elevated, it may prevent the acid from coming back up into your throat and you may have a more peaceful nights sleep.
