Red Bull is known as the brand that has started the energy
drink revolution. It has established it's worldwide prominence as the
leader in the industry. It is the coke of colas and the
harley-davidson of motorcycles. Red Bull is the status symbol
worldwide for energy drinks.
Dietrich Mateschitz is the brilliant inventor of Red Bull. Mateschitz, an Austrian, adapted the energy drink from a Thai beverage called "Krating Daeng",
which is a popular drink with rickshaw drivers in Thailand. He gave this 250
ml can of energy the slogan "Red Bull gives you wings" and has now sold
billions of cans worldwide.
Red Bull and all its predecessors are engineered to combat
mental and physical fatigue. A 250 ml of Red Bull contains 27 g of
sugar, 1000 mg of taurine, 600 mg of glucuronolactone, B Complex vitamins
and 80 mgs of caffeine. It is also available in a sugar free version.
The caffeine content of a Red Bull is not hazardous. As a matter of
fact, 80 g of caffeine is less than a cup of brewed coffee and no more than
a couple cans of coke. It is recommended that no more than 2 cans of
Red Bull be consumed in a 24 hour period. So next time you are feeling
a little sluggish, pick up the renowned "Red Bull" and feel for yourself the
effects of its energy firsthand. You may become the next Energy Drink
loyalist.
